“Great organization that is making a difference by helping impoverished communities break the cycle of water borne illnesses. Humble, boots on the ground, money and help gets to where it’s needed. We are very proud to support the Malawi Water Project.”

— Alnoor Bhura, Managing Partner, Centex Petroleum

It is a true honour and privilege to partner with Malawi Water Project.

To date, Formidable Joy has sponsored more than 70 biosand filters, and plan to continue our partnership for years to come..

We work with MWP in areas where drilling a borehole is not possible due to accessibility and/or lack of groundwater..

MWP is highly respected in the communities they serve..

They provide employment opportunities, produce their filters, install them into homes, train the recipients, and follow up on each and every unit..

GPS locations and photos for each project are also provided..

Whether you sponsor one or one hundred biosand filters, you have peace of mind that your donation goes directly to the projects and the people in need..

I am especially impressed with and honored to personally know Helen and Sarah – a dynamic duo!

Two women – each and together…a force of nature.

Beginning of the Biosand Project.JPG

I have had the privilege of working with the Malawi Water Project almost from its’s inception. To be able to walk along side a fledgling organization and help to support it’s capacity growth along the way has been both a professional and personal blessing. From the humble beginnings of Helen’s initial desire and motivation to help the people of Malawi to have access to safe water The Malawi Water Project has grown into a well rounded, full service Implementer of Quality Water, Sanitation and Hygiene services serving thousands of people across Malawi. The Malawi Water Project is a true testament to what can be accomplished when a group of passionate, dedicated open minded individuals come together and commit to achieve the principles of social justice taking one small step at a time. The Malawi Water Project has demonstrated, that over time, taking small, achievable steps towards access to resources, equity, participation, diversity, and human rights lead to lasting and transformational change and impact.
